WHAT THE JOB INVOLVES
We are looking for experienced interior designers and architects with commercial experience (retail or branded store environments a plus) capable of managing all aspects of projects including surveying of existing spaces, space planning, construction documents, permit processing and construction administration.
QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interior Designer
- One to five years’ experience on commercial projects for new construction and remodel of existing buildings
- Bachelor of Science, Interior Design degree required
- Knowledge of building components, details, sections, building envelope, etc
- Responsible for all project aspects from preparing fit plans, construction documents for commercial projects, and teaming with other Jencen staff on projects
- Construction administration (including permit process, shop drawings, and field visits)
- Coordination with Jencen staff, client management and working with engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
Architect
- Five years’ experience on commercial projects for new construction and remodel of existing buildings
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree required
- License not required, but preferred
- Knowledge of building components, details, sections, building envelope, etc
