Jencen Architecture Teams Up with Ingenuity Cleveland
Retail Design Leader Proudly Support Ingenuity and the Arts
October 30, 2015 – Cleveland, OH – Leading international retail architecture and design firm, Jencen Architecture, volunteered their time and talents to design and fabricate seven large-scale wayfinding installations for the 11th Annual IngenuityFest held October 2nd through the 4th in Cleveland.
The towers identified seven ‘villages’ within the event’s sprawling venue covering 500,000 square feet along the city’s lakefront North Coast Harbor. The design challenge was to help the festival’s 45,000 guests navigate the immense site.
The firm’s solution was 11′-0″ tall branded installations engineered with wind-powered rotating illuminated sign cube tops, while designs encouraged interactivity highlighting each village’s theme. Jencen collaborated with Ametco Manufacturing for sign cube frames and longtime partner SE Blueprint’s Cleveland Color Imaging division to execute the installation graphics which included original photography of Cleveland landmarks by the firm’s own creative talent.
“We were honored to contribute to the state’s premier creative festival. The entire studio was eager and excited to work on this project from conceptual design to installation. To see festival-goers engage with our designs made the experience complete for us,” says Juleen Russell, AIA, Director of Business Development for Jencen Architecture.
